On June 24, in the third round of the Club World Cup Group D, Chelsea played against Tunisia's Hope. In the first half of the game, Chelsea scored two goals in stoppage time. Enzo assisted Adarabioyo and Delap twice to score. Delap scored his first goal in his Blues career. Chelsea led Tunisia's Hope 2-0 at halftime; in the second half, Chelsea got a penalty but it was cancelled by VAR. George scored in the last second. In the end, Chelsea defeated Tunisia's Hope 3-0 and advanced as the second in the group.
At the beginning of the game, in the 3rd minute, Chelsea had a corner kick opportunity on the left, and Badiasile's header was slightly off target. In the 4th minute, Tunisia's Hope counterattacked, and Gusto performed a wonderful chase to destroy the opponent's single-handed opportunity. In the 9th minute, Madueke's cross from the bottom of the left was blocked, and then Chelsea's corner kick was cleared. In the 14th minute, Delap cut in from the front of the penalty area and shot low, but the ball was firmly held by the goalkeeper. In the 20th minute, Chelsea almost scored. 2 minutes later, Chelsea scored again! Enzo followed suit and made another lob pass. Delap made a run from the left side of the penalty area and calmly shot the ball, scoring his first goal in his Blues career. Chelsea expanded their lead 2-0.
At the end of the first half, Chelsea temporarily led Tunisia 2-0.
At the beginning of the second half, in the 47th minute, Tunisia had a chance to counterattack and made a long shot, but the ball went high. In the 50th minute, Nkunku dribbled the ball to the middle of the penalty area and fell to the ground. The referee did not say anything. Then Enzo received a pass from Delap and followed up with a shot, but the ball went slightly wide. In the 58th minute, Madueke made a cross from the left, and Nkunku shot high from the front of the penalty area. In the 64th minute, Madueke got the ball and advanced to the left side of the penalty area and shot at a small angle, but the ball went wide again. In the 75th minute, Chelsea got a penalty but it was cancelled by VAR. Andre Santos received a pass from Giu and shot a long shot. The ball hit the defender's hand. The referee first awarded a penalty, but then changed the penalty to cancel, and did not even give Chelsea a corner kick.
In the second half, there were 7 minutes of stoppage time. In the 91st minute, Giu received a through ball from Nkunku and followed up with a shot that was saved by the goalkeeper.
