We often hear stories like this: fan projects based on classic game series are boycotted by publishers. But of course there are exceptions.
Halo Studios is such an exception. They have always been encouraging of the player community. Now they have once again demonstrated with practical actions: in the eyes of the official, fan projects are tributes rather than wool-pulling and hot-selling.
Through social media, the creators of the Spartan Survivors project revealed that Halo Studios contacted them proactively - but did not ask them to terminate development, but instead sent an official blessing:
"We truly feel the passion you and the team have put into this work. The game experience is full of fun. We look forward to unlocking more content and playing in depth later."
"Spartan Survivors" is an action game inspired by "Vampire Survivors" with the image of a sergeant as the protagonist. The game will be available on both PC and Xbox platforms later this year.
