Jennifer Lin is joining Apollo Global Management Inc.; until recently, she was JPMorgan's face in private credit trading, according to people familiar with the matter.

Lin plans to join Apollo in September as a managing director, focusing on U.S. loan transactions, said people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to speak publicly. Some of the people familiar with the matter said she will focus primarily on liquid debt transactions.

Lin did not respond to requests for comment. Representatives for JPMorgan and Apollo also declined to comment.

Lin is an executive director at JPMorgan for nearly 16 years, according to her LinkedIn profile. She is one of the few people who has led the push for private credit transactions. In May, she represented the bank at an industry event in Nashville.
