The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) opened in Yizhuang, Beijing, from August 8th to 12th.
During this year's World Robot Conference, over 400 leading scientists, representatives from international organizations, academicians, and entrepreneurs from China and abroad, including Yushu founder Wang Xingxing, International Federation of Robotics President Takayuki Ito, and Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Omniverse and Simulation Technology at NVIDIA, will participate in the conference forum. The forum will focus on cutting-edge robotics technology trends, industry applications, and innovative achievements, engaging in discussions and sharing through keynote speeches and high-level dialogues. During the expo, the World Robot Conference (WRC) featured three major exhibition halls: the Innovation Hall, the Application Hall, and the Technology Hall. These halls showcased over 1,500 exhibits from over 200 leading Chinese and international robotics companies, including ABB, Kuka, Yushu Technology, Galaxy General, and CITIC Heavy Industries, including over 100 new product launches. Furthermore, 50 humanoid robot manufacturers will showcase their latest products and industry solutions, along with innovative products such as quadruped robots and smart lawn mowers.
According to my understanding, this year's World Robot Conference boasted hundreds of humanoid robot products and over 50 manufacturers, a record for similar exhibitions. The number of companies in the humanoid robot industry chain also reached a new high.
As such, like the previous World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), this year's World Robot Conference attracted considerable attention. Based on my earlier discussions with various companies and organizations, as well as my visits to the exhibition halls, I hope to provide you with a guide to the not-to-miss new products at this year's World Robot Conference.
First, let's take a look at Hall A.
This year, Hall A will primarily feature embodied intelligence exhibits from two national and local innovation centers in Beijing and Shanghai, China.
The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center (A103) is China's first full-stack embodied intelligence software and hardware technology company. Focusing on the two core missions of the universal robotics platform "Tiangong" and the universal embodied intelligence platform "Huisi Kaiwu," it is committed to building a globally influential source of innovation and application demonstration for embodied intelligence. A104, under the umbrella of the China National and Local Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., will primarily showcase the work and execution of the "Qinglong" humanoid robot.
JD.com is the exclusive global strategic partner of this year's World Robot Conference, boasting a relatively large booth area. During this year's conference, JD.com will showcase over 50 cutting-edge robotics products from companies such as Yushu Technology, Zhiyuan, Tiangong, Zhongqing, Xinghaitu, Zhuji Power, Qianxun, and Songyan Power, allowing users to interact with the robots on-site. JD.com will also release a major strategic plan to promote the development of the robotics industry, announce relevant industry support policies, and detail JD.com's plans for embodied intelligence, further deepening its strategic partnerships with intelligent robotics brands.
At the UBTECH booth, this year UBTECH will debut the Walker S2, an industrial humanoid robot designed for intelligent manufacturing scenarios. Equipped with Co-Agent technology, the Walker S2 integrates a dexterous hand and bionic arm, enabling complex maneuvers such as autonomous battery replacement.
UBTECH Vice President and Director of the Research Institute, Jiao Jichao, previously told me that humanoid robots are approaching 50% of human efficiency and will initially be deployed in industrial settings, with future applications expanding to commercial and domestic environments.
Ubisoft's booth attracted the most attention at this year's World Robotics Conference (WRC). At this year's WRC, Ubisoft will debut two new products: the quadruped Unitree A2 and its third humanoid robot, the Unitree R1. Furthermore, Yushu will be bringing the humanoid robot competition from the WAIC to the Beijing World Robot Conference (WRC), which is expected to become a major event and attract even more attention and video capture. I previously witnessed this competition at WAIC, where the two robots exchanged punches with unrelenting force, their agile dodging and swift delivery drawing exclamations from onlookers and children, leaving their mobile phone cameras barely able to fit into the ring.
However, Yushu's competitor, Zhiyuan Robotics, will be absent from this year's WRC Expo (last year was Zhiyuan's first WRC appearance). However, Yao Maoqing, partner, president of Zhiyuan Robotics' embodied business unit, and executive director of its research institute, will deliver a keynote speech at the main forum on August 11th, highlighting Zhiyuan's latest developments in embodied intelligence.
Diagonally across from the Yushu booth is Accelerated Evolution, which plans to recreate a soccer match involving the BOOSTER T1 humanoid robot during the expo. Five matches will be held throughout the day, including a 2v2 AI show match and a human-robot soccer interactive session, showcasing the T1 robot's powerful athletic capabilities and AI algorithms.

In Hall A, NVIDIA's partner, Zhipingfang Technology, will demonstrate the rapid generalization of its general-purpose intelligent robot, AlphaBot 2, in various scenarios, including serving tea and beverages. ABB, Yaskawa, and Kuka will all showcase robotic arms and robotic equipment. The listed company Yuejiang Robotics will showcase products such as a hexapod bionic robot and the Yuejiang embodied intelligent robot, the X-Trainer, demonstrating the practical application of embodied intelligent virtual assistants (VLAs).
In addition, this year's WRC is focusing on the emerging humanoid robot player, Siasun Robotics. During the WRC, the company will showcase products such as the Siasun intelligent humanoid dual-arm platform, the "Songyi" wheeled humanoid robot, the "Songxing" bipedal humanoid robot, the Ruike RICO wheeled humanoid robot, and the Siasun Duoke coffee robot.
Hall B will host a humanoid robot scene competition, with companies such as Zhongqing, Galaxy General, Xingdong Jiyuan, Magic Lab, and Qinglang showcasing new products and new application scenarios.
On August 7th, Galaxy General announced the launch of the Galaxy Capsule, the world's first fully autonomous retail pod staffed by humanoid robots, at Zhongguancun's Darongcheng. During this year's World Retail Conference (WRC), Galaxy General will bring its "robot kiosk" to its booth, showcasing the Galbot's unmanned vending capabilities for the first time.
Wang He, Assistant Professor at Peking University and founder and CTO of Galaxy General, revealed that Galaxy General will launch a "100 Stores in 10 Cities" plan. Starting in Beijing's Haidian District, Galaxy Capsule will gradually expand to more cities, including neighborhoods, scenic spots, business districts, and transportation hubs, building a rapidly deployable and sustainable city-level intelligent commercial service system. Each unmanned pod is expected to serve an average of 2,000 people per day.
On August 6th, Fourier launched its first full-size humanoid Care-bot, the GR-3, featuring interactive companionship and touchable features. During the WRC, the GR-3 will make its official debut at the WRC, featuring an upgraded "Embodied Intelligent Rehabilitation Port" display and a dance performance by the humanoid robot N1, showcasing the fusion of technology and vitality.
Magic Lab will showcase its entire family of robots and a number of embodied intelligence solutions during the WRC, including the full-size, general-purpose bipedal humanoid robot "Xiaomi," the high-dynamic bipedal humanoid robot MagicBot Z1, the consumer-grade quadruped robot MagicDog, the wheeled quadruped robot MagicDog-W, and the debut of the industrial quadruped robot MagicDog Y1. Magic Lab currently offers comprehensive robotic solutions for automation and assembly line operations. Its "Thousand Scenes Co-creation" strategic partners have expanded to over 50, covering industries such as healthcare, retail, tourism, education, and manufacturing. In industrial scenarios, multiple robots have been deployed on factory production lines, performing tasks such as product inspection, material handling, parts pick-and-place, and code scanning for warehousing, enabling local collaboration.
ZhongQing Robotics will make its full-scale WRC debut, showcasing its latest heavy-duty, full-size, general-purpose humanoid robot, the T800, and its force-controlled dexterous hand. The ZhongQing PMO1 humanoid robot will also perform a dynamic dance performance. ZhongQing also unveiled a companion-type, ultra-lightweight humanoid robot, priced at 38,500 yuan. Standing approximately 1.25 meters tall and weighing approximately 25 kilograms, it's billed as "a young person's first humanoid robot"—a product seemingly comparable to the Unitree R1.
Xingdong Jiyuan will debut its Xingdong L7 series of full-size bipedal humanoid robots at the WRC, including 360-degree spins and street dance performances. The Xingdong Q5 will also demonstrate its practical applications in logistics, warehousing, and commercial services.
Songyan Power will also be exhibiting at the WRC for the first time, showcasing exciting robot dance performances, somersaults, humanoid running, and multi-terrain maneuvers throughout the day. Songyan Power recently announced the completion of a multi-million yuan Series A++ funding round. This round was led by Jinpu Investment, with participation from BAIC Capital, CICC Capital, JinkoSolar, Yunhui Capital, U-Mount Capital, Zhuoyuan Asia, and Yuanzhi Future. Songyan Power revealed that in the first half of this year, the company secured commercial orders for over 2,000 units, with a total contract value expected to exceed 100 million yuan. This makes the company the second Chinese humanoid robot company, after Yushu, to have clearly crossed the "1,000-unit sales threshold."
Of particular note is Xinghaitu, a company that rarely exhibits publicly. During this WRC, Xinghaitu will debut and publicly demonstrate the world's first end-to-end full-body control VLA model, the "Xinghaitu G-0 Model." This is also China's first commercially available VLA model. Xinghaitu stated that at the exhibition, users could control the R1 Lite with a single natural language command to complete the highly complex, long-range task of making a bed in a randomly disrupted home bedroom, demonstrating its extreme generalization and stable execution capabilities. Users could also use VR headsets and hands-on teleoperation to perform tasks like grabbing dolls, solving puzzles, and practicing Tai Chi.
Zhuji Power will debut its full-size humanoid robot, the LimX Oli, during the WRC, priced starting at 158,000 yuan. The LimX Oli, reportedly 165 cm tall and boasting 31 degrees of freedom (excluding the end effector), is primarily targeted at general-purpose robotics practitioners, including AI researchers, robot developers, and solution system integrators. Available in Lite, EDU, and Super versions, it provides comprehensive and efficient support for the training, verification, and implementation of complex perception, motion control, and interaction algorithms. Prior to this, Zhuji Power announced the completion of a new round of financing led by JD.com.
Dynaeasy Technology will showcase its high-performance general-purpose humanoid robot, the PHYBOT M1, the embodied intelligent companion, the PHYBOT C1, and the PhyArc series, a full-stack, self-developed, integrated cycloid joint module, at the WRC. The PHYBOT M1 is a high-performance general-purpose humanoid robot designed for complex scenarios. It features a 172 cm humanoid configuration and weighs only 60 kg. Since its founding, PowerEasy Technology has completed angel and angel+ rounds of financing from investors including Fourier, Frees Capital, Z Fund (Zhipu Ecosystem Fund), Ginkgo Valley Capital, Innoyard, and Shuimu Tsinghua Alumni Fund.
Stardust Intelligence will showcase the Astribot S1 all-around AI robot, offering real-world remote control and AI demonstrations, fully demonstrating Stardust's embodied intelligence capabilities. Vita Power will also introduce the VITA companion robot, which will launch pre-sales and issue founding rights in October, with official consumer release planned for the fourth quarter of this year. In addition, during the WRC, Qinglang Intelligence will showcase the interactive experience of the humanoid robot XMAN series in multi-scene and multi-form embodied service robots, showing the world how embodied intelligence will reshape future life and industrial ecology; Lingbao CASBOT will showcase three core products during the conference - the full-size bipedal humanoid robot CASBOT 02, the wheeled embodied intelligent robot CASBOT W1, and the five-finger lightweight dexterous hand CASBOT Handle-L1; Independent Variable Robot will debut the newly released new generation embodied wheeled humanoid robot Quanta X2, as well as embodied intelligence model technology during the WRC; Qianxun Intelligence will showcase the full-control humanoid robot Moz1 Shenzhen-based Kuawei Intelligence will showcase its core products, PickWiz and X-Wiz embodied brain, based on Sim2Real (synthetic data) technology. Kuawei Intelligence recently announced the completion of several hundred million yuan in Series A1 and A2 funding rounds. Investors include Chengdu Science and Technology Venture Capital, Hongtai Fund, Sky Eagle Capital, Sichuan Academician Fund, Nanshan Strategic New Investment, Yicun Capital, and Tanyuan Venture Capital, with existing shareholders such as Lenovo Capital continuing to increase their investment.
iFlytek will showcase products such as humanoid robots and Go-playing robots. SenseTime will showcase Yuanluobo-branded robots, as well as demonstrations of embodied intelligence applications developed in collaboration with robot manufacturers.
Hall C focuses on component and supply chain manufacturers. These include the dexterous hand technology showcased by Yinshi, Lingxin Qiaoshou, and Qiangnao Technology; Hangzhou-based Juwei Technology, participating in the WRC for the first time, will showcase its newly released "MOVENEW T1, the world's first wheeled quadruped autonomous follower robot"; and Yizhuang Robotics will showcase a collection of embodied intelligent robots. Beijing Yizhuang Robotics Technology and Industrial Development Co., Ltd. is reportedly implementing targeted investment promotion and professional services for the robotics industry, building an international robotics industrial park to support the development of the robotics and intelligent manufacturing industries.
Overall, Hall A showcases robot boxing and robot soccer matches, Hall B focuses on the implementation scenarios and effects of humanoid robots, and Hall C focuses on the development of the robotics industry chain.
Currently, the humanoid robot market has entered a fiercely competitive stage. Gu Jie, founder and CEO of Fourier, stated that the growth of the humanoid robot industry has accelerated by 3-5 times over the past year.
Data shows that in the first half of this year, China's industrial robot and service robot production increased by 35.6% and 25.5% year-on-year, respectively. Currently, there are over 930,000 robot-related companies in China. In the first half of this year, over 100,000 new related companies were added, representing an approximate 45% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Citigroup predicts that by 2050, the global humanoid robot market will reach $7 trillion (approximately 50 trillion yuan), with nearly 650 million humanoid robots worldwide.
