According to news on October 1st, Microsoft officially released the Windows 11 2025 Update (version 25H2). This update is based on the September 2025 non-security preview update and includes a large number of feature enhancements and user experience optimizations.
Microsoft also shared a separate list of new features in Windows 11 25H2 for home PCs.
Among the new features, the biggest highlight is undoubtedly the enhancements related to Copilot+ AI PCs, such as Recall, Click to Do, and enhanced Windows Search. Speaking of Copilot features, Microsoft also mentioned new customizable keyboard shortcuts.
Microsoft considers these improvements significant because they reshape how users interact with Windows devices. These features are available on Copilot+ PCs powered by Snapdragon, AMD, and Intel processors.
Core Windows elements, such as the taskbar, have also seen updates and improvements to the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
For example, the taskbar now supports improved icon resizing, richer previews, and a clock with seconds. Users will also notice improved indicators and real-time status updates during file indexing operations.
