On October 4th at 7:15 PM Pacific Time, in the 8th round of La Liga, Barcelona faced Sevilla away. In the 11th minute, Araujo conceded a penalty, which veteran Sanchez converted. In the 37th minute, Barcelona's defense was slow to mark, allowing Romero to score on the counterattack. In first-half stoppage time, Rashford equalized, but after a fierce second-half substitution, Barcelona conceded two goals in the second half to Sevilla players Angel and Adams. Barcelona ultimately suffered a crushing 1-4 away defeat, their first La Liga defeat of the season, and relinquished the top spot to Real Madrid, who had won the same round.



Barcelona has recently been plagued by injuries. Three key players, Yamal, Rafinha, and goalkeeper Joan García, have all recently been injured. The team was forced to use substitutes like Szczesny in this match.
