In the 37th minute, Barcelona's defense was slow to mark, allowing Romero to score on the counterattack. In first-half stoppage time, Rashford equalized, but after a fierce second-half substitution, Barcelona conceded two goals in the second half to Sevilla players Angel and Adams. Barcelona ultimately suffered a crushing 1-4 away defeat, their first La Liga defeat of the season, and relinquished the top spot to Real Madrid, who had won the same round.

Barcelona has recently been plagued by injuries. Three key players, Yamal, Rafinha, and goalkeeper Joan García, have all recently been injured. The team was forced to use substitutes like Szczesny in this match.

In the 7th minute, Olmo appeared to have committed a handball while defending the penalty area, but the referee did not make a comment. In the 11th minute, Araujo used his hands and feet to pull down Romero while defending the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick awarded. In the 43rd minute, Rashford received a long pass from a teammate and broke into the left side of the penalty area, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper. In the 45th and 5th minutes, Pedri's lob went in from the left side of the penalty area, and Rashford quickly followed up with a shot to put Barcelona back in the game, 1-2! Rashford also scored his first La Liga goal!

At halftime, Barcelona was trailing 1-2 and 5-7 in shots at halftime.

In the 55th minute, Balde appeared to touch the ball with his hand while defending, but the referee didn't make a comment. In the 63rd minute, Pedri broke into the right side of the penalty area, received a diagonal pass from a teammate, and then fired a powerful shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. In the 76th minute, Barcelona missed a golden opportunity to equalize! Januzaj committed a foul in the penalty area, but Lewandowski's penalty shot went wide.

Towards the end of the game, Barcelona's defense pulled forward, widening the lead even further! In the 90th minute, Sevilla launched a quick counterattack. Angel sprinted into the right side of the penalty area and then shot into the left corner from a tight angle, giving Sevilla a 3-1 lead! In the 90th minute, Sevilla counterattacked in the frontcourt with a 2-on-2 attack. Ejuk ran down the left side, opened up space, and unselfishly passed the ball to Akko Adams, who followed up with a powerful shot to score, making the lead 4-1!

At the end of the game, Barcelona suffered a crushing 1-4 defeat away from home.
