The rivalry between Battlefield and Call of Duty is intensifying. After a live-action Battlefield 6 trailer openly teased celebrity Call of Duty skins, Activision has launched a series of actions targeting the upcoming Battlefield 6 release.

On the one hand, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta was extended by one day, ending just one day before Battlefield 6's release. On the other hand, Activision deliberately made nearly all of the original Call of Duty Black Ops 6 content free during Battlefield 6's first week. This included not only the entire multiplayer and zombie modes, but also the single-player campaign for the first time. However, the free trial does not include ranked play.

In terms of maps, modes, and other content, players will have access to "over 40 multiplayer maps, all six Zombies maps (including directional mode), and new content from Haunted House like the Gravity, Drill, and Mothball multiplayer maps, the Haunted Havoc Zombies limited-time mode, and more."
