Battlefield 6's boss directly advises players to abandon the EA app: Get a refund and buy the Steam version instead.

Battlefield 6's launch has become a historic success on Steam, but on the EA app, things couldn't be worse. For several hours, players who purchased Battlefield 6 through the official EA store were locked out of all modes. The cause was a strange "entitlement bug." Some players complained that they were still locked out and unable to enter the game five hours after launch.

EA said it was working to fix the issue, but that wasn't enough for Battlefield game director Vince Zampella. Responding to an angry player on Platform X, Zampella offered the advice any reasonable PC gamer would give in this situation: "Can you refund the game and buy it on Steam?"

Of course, but it was still surprising to hear such words from EA's top brass. Zampella also wrote in the post above, "I've already yelled at the EA App people. Any suggestions for the next upgrade?"

At this point, gamers everywhere know how terrible the EA App is. It's clunky, buggy, and has one of the worst friends lists in the history of game launchers. With the Steam version already out there, there's really no reason to open this "devil launcher" to play Battlefield 6. And you can tell I'm right—even Vince himself chooses not to use the app.
