According to Bloomberg, Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is expanding production in Vietnam and plans to launch several new home devices.
Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Apple plans to launch an indoor security camera and a display device that can control home appliances and serve as a home hub in 2026.
In addition, Apple plans to launch an autonomous desktop robot in 2027. The robot will be equipped with motors and sensors, look like a central control display, and be mounted on a movable robotic arm.

Media reports indicate that Apple's new home control device was originally scheduled to be released in March 2025, along with the new version of Siri. However, due to delays in the AI software, the hardware release was also postponed. After canceling the plan twice in June and October, Apple has now set the target for spring 2026. The new version of Siri is expected to launch in March of next year. It will be able to obtain answers from the internet, similar to ChatGPT, and precisely control app operations, making it more suitable for controlling appliances, music, and communications in the home.
Apple reportedly plans to price the central control device at approximately $350, about $50 more than the full-size HomePod. The company's team is exploring ways to reduce manufacturing costs, with the goal of lowering the price for the initial release or subsequent models.
The indoor security camera, codenamed J450, is expected to launch as early as the end of next year.
Concurrently, Apple is developing a desktop robot similar in appearance to the central control display, mounted on a movable robotic arm that can adjust the screen angle at will on the user's workbench or in the kitchen.
Due to the complex design of the motor system and the need to refine AI application scenarios, the development of this robot has been delayed by approximately two years. Apple expects it to cost several hundred dollars.
