On October 23rd, Studio Ellipsis, led by industry veteran Alexandre Amancio, officially announced its debut game, Nightholme. Nightholme is a multiplayer PvPvE mystery game coming to PC and consoles.

Set in a fantasy world corrupted by darkness, players will play as a "Grimrunner" as they journey through nightmarish open-world environments, fighting for survival and precious resources in high-stakes battles against hostile groups, monsters, and environmental threats. The game features a rich lore and cleverly blends cosmic horror with classic horror elements, reimagining them in bold and unexpected ways to uncover the mystical world of Nightholme.
The game features a PvPvE format, immersing players in tactical gameplay. As they choose their own "Grimrunner" and engage in tactical operations, they must carefully plan each move. Players can transform their class archetypes by drinking the mysterious substance "Nocturn," gaining distinct ability styles and building a personalized combat style through a free-flowing skill tree. The game's open-world urban environment constantly evolves through a random event system, creating unique risks and opportunities for each action.
"Just one year after founding our studio, we are thrilled to release our debut game, Nightholme," said Alexandre Amancio, Head of Studio Ellipsis and creator of Nightholme. "We wanted to create a unique multiplayer horror experience that's unpredictable and tense, with each game feeling like a self-contained survival story. We're focused on creating groundbreaking gameplay expressions."
Amancio noted that Nightholme breaks away from traditional PvPvE game formats, building a core experience with long-term appeal through stealth, survival, and dynamic progression. "We've infused this game with a strong narrative drive, allowing players to gradually delve deeper into the world of Nightholme. We hope players will experience this game firsthand, test their mettle, and uncover the secrets hidden in the shadows."
Alexandre Amancio, head of Studio Ellipsis, is a games industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in games and creative fields, and a proven track record of successfully developing multiple AAA titles. He previously served as Creative Director at Ubisoft, where he was deeply involved in the development of numerous critically acclaimed games, including three Assassin's Creed titles.
More information about Nightholme will be announced in early 2026, when closed and open beta phases will begin before the Early Access release. Players can add wishlists and learn more about the game on the international version of Steam starting today.
