According to Capcom's latest financial report, Monster Hunter Wilds' market performance after its official release failed to meet the company's best expectations.
However, the sales data released at the same time also contained positive news: Devil May Cry 5's cumulative global sales are approaching 11 million copies, with over 2.13 million copies sold in the first half of this fiscal year, making it Capcom's best-selling game of the year.

More noteworthy is the continued strong sales performance of the four main installments in the 'Resident Evil' series:
- Resident Evil Village leads the pack with 12.872 million units sold, including 1.566 million in the past two quarters;
- In comparison, Resident Evil 4 Remake, released later, sold 1.266 million units in the same period, bringing its total sales to 11.2 million units;
- Resident Evil 2 Remake, released in 2019, currently leads the series with 16.342 million units sold;
- Resident Evil 7 is steadily approaching 16 million units sold, having already sold nearly 1.2 million units this fiscal year.
- It's worth noting that Resident Evil 7 will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform next February, simultaneously with 'Resident Evil Village', which may help it surpass Resident Evil 2 Remake in sales.

According to official confirmation, the ninth mainline sequel in the series, Resident Evil Requiem, is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The standard edition will cost 348 yuan, and pre-orders are now open.
