Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Leaks: Three Core Upgrades to "Completely Change the User Experience"

Oct 31, 2025

According to a blog post published by Android Authority on October 29th, during the Q3 2025 earnings call, Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung's Mobile Experience division, set the tone for the 2026 flagship Galaxy S26 series.

Araujo explicitly stated that the Galaxy S26 series will feature major innovations, completely changing the user experience through "a user-centric next-generation AI, a second-generation custom application processor (AP), and enhanced performance including a new camera sensor."

Araujo's mention of a "second-generation custom AP" has sparked widespread speculation about chip configuration. This likely confirms that the Galaxy S26 series will, at least in some regions, be equipped with the Exynos 2600 chip, reportedly Samsung's first product using a 2nm process.

Meanwhile, previous industry reports also indicated that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip would also be used in the S26 series. This means Samsung will again employ a "dual-chip" strategy, using different processors for different markets and models. However, Araujo added after the meeting that chip evaluation is still ongoing and the final solution has not yet been confirmed.

According to public information, a Samsung test device codenamed "S5E9965 ERD" reappeared in the GeekBench benchmark database yesterday, achieving a single-core score of 3455 and a multi-core score of 11621. Its multi-core score surpasses the average level of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
