EA Originals and Hazelight announced that their best-selling platform jumping action cooperative game Split Fiction will be available for pre-order on Thursday, April 24 for Nintendo Switch 2, priced at $49.99 (domestic price has not yet been announced). This thrilling science fiction and fantasy adventure will be the first game for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5.
This version of the game will take advantage of the new Nintendo Switch 2 features GameShare and GameChat to bring the ultimate cooperative gaming experience:
GameShare allows players to play together through local wireless connection function, as long as there is a copy of the game! In addition, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can share Split Fiction with Nintendo Switch original users and play together through local wireless connection function.
GameChat lets players chat in real time using the console’s built-in microphone, and can also share live video with friends via a compatible USB camera. The camera feed will be displayed in the in-game player interface.
More information can be found on the EA blog, as well as an interview with Nintendo and Hazelight Studios founder Josef Fares and COO Oskar Wolontis, who discussed the experience of porting Split Fiction to Nintendo Switch 2.
Split Fiction is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC on Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA App. Players can also invite friends to play for free on any platform (including across two platforms) with the Friend Pass.
