Traditional Chinese medicine medical methods, masterpieces of human intangible cultural heritage

Acupuncture and moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine is a medical method of traditional Chinese medicine. In addition to being widely used in China, it is also practiced in Southeast Asia, Europe and America. Acupuncture theory believes that the human body is like a small universe connected by various meridians. By physically stimulating the meridians, it is possible to promote the body's self-regulation function and bring health to the patient.

The stimulation method includes using moxa to point or acupuncture the acupuncture points of these channels to promote the body to restore balance, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing and treating diseases. During acupuncture, depending on the specific situation of each person, choose to use needles, and then use needles to stimulate the acupuncture points.

Moxibustion is usually divided into direct and indirect moxibustion, that is, placing moxa sticks directly on the acupuncture points, or placing moxa sticks close to the body surface to roast the selected area. Moxa cylinders and moxa sticks are made of dried mugwort leaves. Acupuncture is passed down between teachers and students or family members through oral teaching and practical demonstration. The inheritance of acupuncture is also included in the formal academic education system.

Acupuncture is to insert a needle into a certain acupuncture point of the patient's body, and use acupuncture techniques such as twisting and lifting to treat diseases; moxibustion is to fumigate the skin with burning moxa at certain acupuncture points, and use heat stimulation to treat diseases. Acupuncture consists of "needle" and "moxibustion", and is one of the important components of traditional Chinese medicine. Its content includes acupuncture theory, acupoints, acupuncture techniques and related instruments.

In the process of formation, application and development, it has distinct Chinese national culture and regional characteristics, and is a valuable heritage based on Chinese national culture and scientific traditions. The role of acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine involves specific areas such as regulating endocrine with acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine and reducing weight with acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine.

Origin

Acupuncture medicine was first seen in the book "Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic" more than 2,000 years ago. In the Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, it is mentioned that "hidden cold causes fullness disease, and its treatment is suitable for moxibustion", which refers to moxibustion. It describes in detail the shape of the nine needles and records a lot of acupuncture theories and techniques. Acupuncture therapy has been popular in China for more than 2,000 years and has spread to the world. The emergence of acupuncture is even earlier.

In ancient times, people accidentally collided with some sharp objects, such as stones, thorns, etc. on a certain part of the body surface, and unexpected pain was relieved. The ancients began to consciously use some sharp stones to pierce certain parts of the body or artificially pierce the body to bleed to relieve pain.

Our ancestors were touched by stones and came up with a great invention.

More than 300 acupuncture points can be cured by pricking with needles. How did the Chinese ancestors come up with this magical therapy?

Acupuncture is divided into two parts, one is the needle and the other is moxibustion. In the Neolithic Age, when an injured person accidentally touched a certain part of the body with some hard objects such as stones and thorns, the pain in the body would be relieved. Therefore, the ancients began to consciously use some sharp stones to stimulate these parts of the body. This is the earliest needle - Bian stone. Moxibustion was formed with the use of fire. Our ancestors found that some body ailments were relieved after being smoked or burned by fire. After getting such inspiration, they gradually invented moxibustion.

In the "Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic" of the Warring States Period, a complete meridian system of the human body has been formed, and acupuncture methods and indications for acupuncture have been discussed in detail.

In the Song Dynasty, the famous acupuncturist Wang Weiyi compiled the "Bronze Man Acupoint Acupuncture Illustrated Classic", which verified 354 acupoints. He also cast two bronze man models, with meridian acupoints engraved on the outside and internal organs inside, as intuitive teaching aids for acupuncture teaching.

In the 6th century AD, acupuncture was introduced to Korea, Japan and other countries, and now it has spread to the world.

Efficacy

1. Clearing the meridians:

It can make the blocked meridians unblocked and play their normal physiological role, which is the most basic and direct therapeutic effect of acupuncture. The meridians "belong to the internal organs and connect to the limbs externally", and running qi and blood is one of their main physiological functions. When the meridians are blocked, the running of qi and blood is blocked, and the clinical manifestations are pain, numbness, swelling, ecchymosis and other symptoms. The acupuncture department selects corresponding acupoints and acupuncture techniques and three-edged needle puncture bleeding to make the meridians unblocked and the running of qi and blood normal.

2. Harmonizing yin and yang:

The ultimate goal of acupuncture treatment is to improve the human body from the state of imbalance of yin and yang to the state of balance. The mechanism of disease occurrence is complex, but it can be generally summarized as imbalance of yin and yang. The method of acupuncture to harmonize yin and yang is to improve the yin and yang properties of meridians, acupoint compatibility and acupuncture techniques.

3. Strengthening the body and eliminating pathogenic factors:

It can strengthen the body's positive energy and eliminate pathogenic factors. The process of disease occurrence, development and outcome is essentially a process of struggle between the positive and the negative. Acupuncture treatment is to play its role in strengthening the body and eliminating pathogenic factors.
