Latest UEFA Champions League Standings: Arsenal Helps the Premier League Gain Points, Serie A Currently Ranked 8th

Following the previous European competition break, the UEFA coefficient standings for this season have changed. According to the rules, the top two leagues in the UEFA coefficient standings will receive an additional Champions League spot.

Last season, the Premier League and La Liga earned additional Champions League spots, with Newcastle United and Villarreal, who finished fifth in their respective leagues, qualifying for the Champions League. Combined with Tottenham Hotspur, the Europa League winners, this season the Premier League has six teams participating in the Champions League, bringing the total number of European competitions to nine.


EuroFA coefficient for each league is the average of the points earned by all teams participating in European competitions (total points / number of participating teams), with higher points earned in the Champions League than in other European competitions.


Currently, the Premier League leads the UEFA coefficient standings this season, with Arsenal at 12 points, Manchester City at 11 points, Tottenham Hotspur at 10 points, Chelsea at 10 points, Newcastle United at 10 points, Liverpool at 10 points, Aston Villa at 4 points, Crystal Palace at 3.5 points, and Nottingham Forest at 3 points.
