On October 30th local time, the US Senate passed a resolution by a vote of 51 to 47, ending President Trump's comprehensive tariff policy implemented globally.
It is understood that the US Senate announced that it has approved a joint resolution to terminate the national emergency declared by the president to implement the global tariffs. Earlier this week, the Senate passed two resolutions aimed at lifting tariffs imposed on Canada and Brazil.

It is understood that these resolutions must next be voted on by the House of Representatives. However, House Republicans have repeatedly blocked legislation to overturn the tariffs, making it difficult for these resolutions to gain a vote in the House. Even if the House ultimately passes them, Congress still needs a two-thirds majority to override the president's veto.
